A former Elizabethan coaching inn on a quiet stretch of the Thames, The Great House is our original clubhouse. Stay for a morning or for the week. Take in the river from a glass-covered terrace opening onto a rolling lawn with deckchairs down to the water.

Our all-day menu celebrates the season’s best, from rare-seared tuna and grass-fed steaks to slow-braised ox cheeks and fresh sea trout.
Sunday Roasts

Take a Sunday stroll along the Thames before joining us for a traditional roast, served with all the trimmings and plenty of time to unwind.

Discover a thoughtfully chosen list of local brews, wines and spirits, from Oxfordshire ales to Cotswold gins, alongside a few well-loved classics.

Settle in for Afternoon Tea by the river, with delicate sweet and savoury treats, freshly baked scones and a pot of perfectly brewed tea.

Little ones are warmly welcomed with their own carefully prepared dishes, available from breakfast through to the all-day menu.
