Yoga Nidra: A Deeply Relaxing Meditation for Your Wellbeing

Yoga Nidra, or "yogic sleep," is an ancient form of meditation that you practice while lying down. It’s not a yoga class but a deeply relaxing session where your body rests while your mind remains awake. You enter a state of conscious relaxation, somewhere between wakefulness and sleep—perfect for calming the mind and rejuvenating your body.

What is Yoga Nidra?
Yoga Nidra allows you to relax your physical body while keeping your mind awake, allowing you to experience different states of consciousness. It’s incredibly beneficial for reducing anxiety, calming the nervous system, enhancing sleep quality, relieving tension and pain, boosting energy, improving cognition and memory, balancing hormones, and promoting overall wellbeing. Essentially, it’s a chance to give yourself the gift of deep rest and relaxation.

What to Bring:

  • Yoga mat and duvet to lay on
  • Cushions for under your knees and head
  • A blanket to cover yourself
  • Comfy clothes and cosy socks
  • A bottle of water to stay hydrated
  • If you prefer, you can sit up with a cushion for support and the wall for back comfort

What Happens at the Session:
We’ll start by getting comfortable and settling in. I will guide you through two Yoga Nidras: the first will be a shorter practice, followed by a break, and then we’ll dive into the longer session. I may incorporate sounds to enhance the experience.

After the meditation, around 8pm, we’ll have time to ground ourselves, followed by a choice of a smoothie and either:

  • Garlic and Herb Pizzetta (plant-based)
  • Zucchini Fritti (plant-based)

These are included in the price.

Please Note:

  • Coughs & Colds: If you have a cough or cold, please refrain from attending to avoid spreading it to others. A non-contagious cough here and there is fine, but continuous coughing could be distracting.
  • Contraindications: This group Yoga Nidra session is not suitable for those with severe depression, trauma, or serious mental health conditions.
